Petra wine is yellow in colour with straw highlights. It is crunchy, fresh with notes of lemon and citrus fruit zest in the nose, exceptional acidity and beautiful round finish. It is a wonderful summer wine.
The vineyard is situated in the vine-growing region of Agios Panteleimonas, at an altitude of 700 metres, in the appellation of origin zone of Amyntaio, in North-western Greece. Average production does not exceed 80kg/acre. The vineyard soils are sandy and contribute to the production of wines with an exceptional class and rich aroma. The microclimate of the region is characterised by cold winters and hot summers, which become milder due to the existence of the four lakes in the area, conditions that favours the cultivation of white varieties.
